Workshop well received.

Ruapehu Mayor Don Cameron said he was pleased with how the discussion in the code of conduct workshop held this week (Wed 23 May) went.

The workshop discussed how we can encourage robust and healthy debate on issues and provide the best opportunity for elected members to put their views forward, said Mayor Cameron

The feedback I have received from the elected members is that they all found it very useful and have gained new understanding from it.

All elected members are agreed that the most important thing is the work Council is doing to support the development of safe, prosperous communities.

They are determined to find a way forward and keep building on their success to date and Ruapehu's growing momentum.

Ruapehu communities should be assured that none of these recent matters will hinder Council working to deliver against its vision for the district.
