RUAPEHU BUILDING CONSENT APPLICATIONS GO DIGITAL
Applying for a building consent in Ruapehu is now a lot quicker and easier with everything online.
Building Control Manager Bryan Jacobsen said that having building consent applications online was part of the digitisation of Council's regulatory services that aims to significantly improve the customer experience.
Anyone applying for a building consent can now use the online application service which will allow them to submit, manage, and track their building consents from the very first piece of information they enter into the application form through to the consent being issued, he said.
The new system which is called simpli is the result of collaborative development involving the building sector and Government with Building Consent Authorities (BCAs) from across NZ.
As the simpli online portal is an industry designed and developed solution currently involving 30 councils/BCA's it provides a unified, consistent approach, no matter where you live or are building in the country.
Putting our building consent process online makes things easier and improve the quality of applications leading to faster processing which saves time and money.
The end result will be more consistent outcomes, greater transparency, and a better user experience for everyone involved, he said.
