Free WIFI up for Christmas

Ruapehu IT Manager Stuart Campbell gives the thumbs up with the go-live of free WIFI in Taumarunui, Raetihi and Ohakune later today (Fri 23 Dec).

Council has been working hard with its contractors to get the service up and running along the main streets of each township before Christmas.

One of the WIFI aerials can be seen on the Taumarunui Railway Station building behind Stu.

The strongest coverage will be within 90m of the aerials. Although available for use the WIFI is still in an official testing phase.

Please report any issues to Council to help us fine tune the service.
