Massive ex-library book fair
ALL BOOKS ONLY A GOLD COIN DONATION AT EX-LIBRARY BOOK FAIR
Ruapehu libraries surplus books are being sold off at a massive book fair at the old library building on Hakiaha St in Taumarunui next Friday 18 and Saturday 19 March.
Ruapehu District Council (RDC) Community Librarian, Fiona Thomas, said that anyone with a love of books should make sure they get along early to the book fair.
The sale runs from 10.00am to 6.00pm on Friday and from 9.00am to 1.00pm on Saturday, she said.
Libraries have a tremendous turn-over of books with new ones coming in all the time and to make room every now and then we need to have a big clean out.
The book fair will offer something for everyone with books from across all genres, and for all ages in both fiction and nonfiction titles.
We have everything from thrillers to romance to science fiction, fantasy, war, health and beauty, New Zealand history, a great selection of children's books and everything in between.
The books on offer include many popular and well-known authors such as Ian Rankin, Val McDermid, Joanna Trollope and many others.
Mrs Thomas said that this is a great opportunity for anyone wanting to stock-up with some fantastic books at give-away prices.
All books are on sale for only a gold coin donation with all money raised going back into the library, she said.
Bring along a big bag or a box and fill it up."
