Council is asking families whose headstones were damaged by the tree fall in the Taumarunui New Cemetery to contact about their reinstatement.
The large Redwood which came down in high winds damaged around 16 headstones.
Council has been contacted by a number of families but there are others for who we do not have any contact information.
If Council is unable to connect with the affected families we will do what we can to reassemble the damaged pieces and lay them on top of the graves.
