Mayor Weston Kirton, accompanied by councillor David (Rabbit) Nottage and Council Chief Executive Clive Manley, have met with the Directors and Management of Pure Turoa to discuss their preparations for opening the ski field for the upcoming season.
Mayor Kirton said that the meeting underscored Council's commitment to doing everything within our power to ensure a successful ski season which is critical to Ruapehu and the wider regional economy.
During the meeting, Pure Turoa's team provided an update on their preparations, highlighting the significant efforts and upgrades undertaken to ensure a fantastic experience for all visitors.
"It's inspiring to see the level of effort and passion that Pure Turoa is investing in preparing for the ski season which includes upgrades to ski lifts and other enhancements aimed at providing a top-notch experience for all who visit," he said.
Council Chief Executive Clive Manley echoed these sentiments, adding, "The Council is eager to support Pure Turoa in any way we can. We understand the importance of a successful ski season for our local economy and community spirit.
