Electronic databases include: Encyclopedia of Britannica Ancestry Library Edition, givUS and givME
If you are doing research, study, homework or just want to know more, Ruapehu District Libraries are now able to access thousands of electronic resources through the EPIC database suite and other subscription-only sites.

Ancestry Library Edition
Provides a comprehensive genealogical tool to trace family lineage or access historical records.
To access the Ancestry you need to be using one of the Ruapehu District Library's computers or the Library's WI-FI with your own device.

Looking for grant funding?
Funding is sourced from government and local authorities, statutory and philanthropic trusts, gaming trusts and service organisations.
givUS is for clubs, voluntary and community organisations - over 1200 grants to help with administration costs, building redevelopment, salaries, volunteer expenses and equipment.
givME is for over 4000 scholarships and grants to assist with personal study needs, research or professional development.

Historical newspapers - Taumarunui
The Taumarunui Library is storing the microfilm for a majority of past copies of the Taumarunui Press, Plateau Gazette and Taumarunui Gazette, dating from 1906-1987.
These are able to be viewed and printed from a microfilm reader and printed-off at the Library.
